We believe that restoring hearing means restoring lives.
Our mission is to share knowledge, skills, and technology to make lasting improvements in ear, nose, and throat care.
-
Training
Training local doctors and medical teams through hands-on workshops and ongoing mentorship online (Weekly Zoom meetings) and in person.
-
Surgeries
Performing ear surgeries, especially middle ear operations, in close cooperation with local hospitals.
-
Technology
Transferring medical technology — from anesthesia and patient monitoring systems to surgical microscopes and endoscopes — adapted to local needs.
-
Collaborations
Collaborating with international partners, such as the American-Austrian Foundation, to strengthen medical exchange and support.
-
Medical Residencies
Supporting medical residencies and advanced training, both in Germany and Austria, as well as in the participants’ home countries (Cambodia & Myanmar)
-
Intercultural Exchange
Encouraging intercultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding and sustainable collaboration.
All of our initiatives are carried out in partnership with local health authorities and coordinated with the respective embassies to ensure alignment with national healthcare goals.
A key part of our work is improving medical and technical equipment to fit local conditions.
One of our proudest innovations is a portable surgical microscope, weighing only 11 kg and equipped with LED lighting and battery power, that can operate independently of the electrical grid. Compact enough to travel as regular luggage, it enables high-quality ear surgery anywhere from major city hospitals to rural clinics.
Every member of our team contributes voluntarily, driven by the shared belief that access to hearing and high-quality medical care should be possible everywhere.
